Your Guide to Southeastern NC’s People & Places! Today, Seth Robbins shares with us one of his favorite places to run with his dog, Skylar — Brunswick Nature Park.
This spot is a hidden gem for all the nature lovers out there. It is located off of River Road, just 10 miles from Leland and about 20 minutes up the road from Southport. The park is 1,000 acres big and sits along Town Creek where you can canoe or go kayaking or paddleboarding. Families love the picnic pavilion’s beautiful water views.
If you’re looking to hit the trails, Brunswick Nature Park offers fantastic walking and biking trails. The bike loop system offers over 7 miles of stacked trails where beginners or experts can hit the trail for a two-wheeled adventure.
And, a fun fact to share: equestrian riders also love the park. This is one of a handful of parks in North Carolina that offers trails for you to take your horse out for a ride by the river. With all that this park has to offer including a dynamic mix of vegetation, wildlife, ecosystems, vistas, wetlands, and waterways, we hope you will consider a visit soon!
Thanks for tuning in for this edition of the Brunswick Beat! We’ll catch you next month for a new edition – you never know where you’ll find us!
