Hey, I’m Jack Hamilton. Today, I am coming to you with our newest edition of the Brunswick Beat from the beautiful St. James Marina. This marina is located in beautiful St. James Plantation, one of the premier developments in Southport, North Carolina. It is located on the intercoastal waterway at mile marker 315. The reason I bring that up is that a lot of people think because this is a private development, that this is actually a private marina, and in fact, it is not. You are welcome here for overnight stay, dockage, supplies and all the types of things that boaters need. In fact, during the season, you can also enjoy a cocktail or meal at Tommy Thompson’s restaurant.
Just a couple of fun facts about the marina; there are actually 155 wet slips and over 300 dry storage slips. One of the cool things at St. James, if you are a resident here is they are famous for this. If you make a call to the marina, the dock master here, within 15 minutes, if your boat is in dry storage, it will be in the water. I know I’m a little bit shorter on words in this Brunswick Beat, but look around. What more do you want? Come on out and enjoy this great marina if you are in St. James, or if you are just passing by on the Intracoastal Waterway. We will be talking to you next month with the newest edition of the Brunswick Beat.
